How to Get to BG

Welcome

We are glad you stopped by to check out Bethel Grove. At BG we are creating opportunities for people to grow in relationship to God and one to each another. Below you will find out who we are, where we've come from, and where we are going. If you don't find the information you are looking for on this site, e-mail us or give us a call. We'd be glad to talk to you!

Bethel Grove's MISSION: Vertical and Horizontal

Bethel Grove exists to worship God: Almighty Creator, Sovereign Lord, Merciful Savior, and Dearest Friend. As we grow vertically in our relationship to Him, forgiven and renewed, we live it out horizontally in relationship to one another, through practical service, generosity, compassion, encouragement, and the restoration of broken relationships.

All activities and ministries at Bethel Grove arise from a distinctively Biblical worldview. Jesus summarized God's desire and expectations for His followers like this:

Love God with all of your heart soul, mind, and strength
Love your neighbor as yourself  Matthew 22:37-38

Bethel Grove's VISION: A Big World In A Small Town

Bethel Grove Bible Church is planted in an university town which draws people from around the world for study and research. As a result, this is a community rich in diversity, ethnicity, culture, intellect, talent, and interest. These characteristics deeply motivate our vision to love and serve locally, while always maintaining a global perspective.

Yates became the first resident pastor of Bethel Grove Bible Church. God has blessed this church with fifty years of faithful history and service in its present location on Slaterville Road. The church is situated in the valley between two prestigious schools, Ithaca College and Cornell University and has been greatly influenced by its connection to both schools. At present , Bethel Grove has approximately 200 members and 550 people regular attending.
