The deaconesses are women gifted and called by God to minister in the church with a particular emphasis on women.  Using gifts of service, faith, compassion, organization, teaching, hospitality, evangelism, and knowledge, we work together to plan events, to serve others, and to teach.

We strive to recognize needs in the church and to connect needs with giftedness.  We are called to minister to women and recognize that special attention should be directed towards elderly women, widows, single mothers, and young women.  The board of deaconesses strives to creatively care for and encourage these and all women in Bethel Grove.

The Deaconesses seek to encourage, support, and sometimes administer various  women’s groups at Bethel Grove such as Bible studies, prayer groups, the women’s retreat, classes, meals, events, and special projects.

This is a place to connect with people and there are many ways to volunteer.  If you would like to link with someone to visit the elderly, organize an event that will engage or encourage women, drive people to appointments, help someone during a time of great need, host a reception, bake for church functions, be a mentor, or serve however God leads your heart, contact a deaconess.  We can provide opportunity, support or training.
