Juanita is a native of Ithaca, NY. She graduated with a BA from Wheaton College and then went on to get a MA in Missions from Columbia Bible College in Columbia, South Carolina. She has been active in L’Abri ministry over her years of ministry.

Currently, Juanita spends six months each year in Europe with involvement in a small French town, Thollon and participates in activities of a Baptist church in Thonon. Her work in France is very one-on-one, conducting individual Bible studies with French women and visiting many people on a weekly basis. The remainder of the yar she resides in Ithaca.
