Joe and Barbara have devoted themselves to Bible translation since graduating from Wheaton College. They are currently coordinating the process of translating the Scriptures into Hawaii Pidgin for the estimated 600,000 speakers, and especially for the estimated 100,000 to 200,000 whose English is too limited to use Scripture in English. The Hawaii Pidgin New Testament was dedicated in Hawaii in June 2001 and by October 2003 was in its fourth printing. It has been on the best seller list in Hawaii 16 times. They are continuing with the Old Testament
translation and serve as representatives for Wycliffe Bible Translators to the churches of Hawaii. They hold training workshops around the world for Bible translators.
