After 15 years of leading software development and electronic publishing efforts at the international headquarters of Wycliffe Bible Translators and the Summer Institute of Linguistics, Gary has now moved into a position of wider responsibility as Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs. Linda is working with both him and the Vice President as an administrative assistant. Gary explains his current focus as follows: “SIL has just made a major commitment to put less focus on doing the job ourselves and more on multiplying ourselves by working in partnerships to equip others throughout the world to carry out the work of Bible translation. A major focus of my new position is to spearhead some of the strategic planning that will help us to achieve this goal, especially as it relates to the role of academic research and of computer technology in the work.”

They attended BG for several years while Gary was studying at Cornell.
